Inimitability in the Prophetic Sunnah
On the authority of Aby-huraira who reported the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as saying, “To purify one’s vessel licked by a dog, s/he should wash it seven times, the first time with dust.”
Scientific truth
Scientists revealed a strange truth, that is, the existence of a purifying substance in dust. When they studied the structure of dust, they found that it contains some substances that, if mixed with bacteria and germs, eliminates them immediately. As for the dog saliva, it contains some substances that can cause illness to Man and cannot be eliminated except by dust. Glory be to Allah.
Why is it inimitable?
This tradition shows that the greatest prophet (pbuh) highlighted a scientific truth that was revealed only in the twentieth century. This indicates that he says only what Allah taught him; in the seventeenth century, during the age of the noble Prophet, no one could have had any knowledge of such medical truth.

الإعجاز فى السنة النبوية
عن أبي هريرة قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: (طهور إناء أحدكم إذا ولغ فيه الكلب أن يغسله سبع مرّات أولاهنّ بالتراب)
الحقيقة العلمية:
لقد كشف العلماء عن حقيقة غريبة وهي وجود مادة مطهرة في التراب، فعندما درس العلماء تركيب التراب وجدوا أنه يحوي مواد إذا اختلطت مع البكتريا والجراثيم قضت عليها على الفور. ولعاب الكلب يحمل مواد ممرضة للإنسان، ولا يمكن إزالتها إلا بالتراب... سبحان الله!
وجه الإعجاز
يتبين لنا من خلال هذا الحديث أن النبي الأعظم عليه الصلاة والسلام قد أشار إلى حقيقة علمية لم تنكشف إلا في القرن العشرين، وهذا يدل على أنه عليه الصلاة والسلام لا ينطق إلا بما علمه الله، إذ أنه في القرن السابع الميلادي أي في العصر الذي عاش فيه النبي الكريم لا يمكن لأحد أن يكون لديه علم بهذه الحقيقة الطبية.
