4- Wiping the head
All of the head should be washed from above the forehead to the end of the skull where the head bones and neck vertebra meet, and from one ear to the other together with the sideburns (the hair that grows on protruding bones on the face sides and is shaved after completing pilgrimage). The head should not be wiped in the presence of a hae’l (a barrier that prevents water from reaching the hair) like scarves for women and turbans for men as well as henna dough used for dying hair. Only 3 hairs can be wiped such that one starts wiping from the hairline at the front not from the back of the head.

يجب مسح جميع الرأس من أعلى الجبهة إلى منتهى الجمجمة حيث يلتحم عظم الرأس بفقار العنق ومن الأذن إلى الأذن مع مسح شعر الصدغين، فوق العظم الناتئ الذي يحلقه المحرم مع شعر رأسه عن التحلل من الإحرام، ولا يجوز مسح الرأس على حائل، مثل الوقاية للمرأة والعمامة للرجل ومثل عجين الحناء الذي يوضع ليصبغ به الشعر ويجوز مسح حتى ولو ثلاثة شعرات ولكن من منبت الرأس من الأمام وليس من الخلف.
