Lesson 75) /

Lesson (75)
Doubting purity
1- Whoever is sure of purity and doubts as to whether he made “hadath” is deemed to be still in a state of purity and should not take such doubt into account because it is purity of which he is sure and it changes only by conviction.
2- Whoever is sure that he made “hadath” and doubts purity should act on conviction (that is, “hadath” happened) and should not take suchdoubt into consideration because it is “hadath” of which he is sure and it changes only by conviction.
This is attributed to the tradition related by Abbad Ebn Tameem on the authority of his uncle who said, “A man complained to the Prophet (pbuh) that he thought that he had passed wind during the prayer. The Prophet said, ‘He should not leave (the prayer) unless he hears sound or smells something’. ” (Narrated by Al-bukhary, Muslem, and Ebn Magah)
In addition, on the authority of Aby Huraira who reported the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) as saying, “If one of you feels disturbance in his stomach and doubts whether he has released some air or not, then he should not leave the mosque unless he hears sound or smells something.” (Narrated by Muslem, Abo Dawoud, and Attermezy)
