Points related to purity:
Touching a dog or dog’s saliva does not invalidate ablution.
Question: does touching a dog or dog’s saliva invalidate ablution?
Answer: Touching a dog or dog’s saliva does not invalidate ablution, because if purity is confirmed by legitimate evidence, it cannot change except by legitimate evidence. There is no evidence that touching a dog or dog’s saliva invalidates ablution. That is why, jurists did not include it in the invalidators of ablution.
After mentioning the invalidators of ablution, not including touching a dog or dog’s saliva, Ebn Qudama said, “These are the only invalidators of purity according to the majority of jurists.. Done” Reference: (Al-mughny 1/264)
Undoubtedly, a dog’s saliva is severe in impurity and is not removed except by being washed seven times, one of them being by dust. This is different from invalidating purity. Allah Almighty knows better.

أمور فى الطهارة
لمس الكلب ولعابه لا ينقضان الوضوء.
السؤال :
هل لمس الكلب أو لعاب الكلب ينقض الوضوء؟
الجواب :
لمس الكلب أو لعابه لا ينقض الوضوء لأن الطهارة إذا ثبتت بمقتضى دليل شرعي فلا يمكن رفعها إلا بدليل شرعي ، ولا دليل في النقض من مس الكلب أو لعابه لذلك لم يذكره العلماء في نواقض الوضوء .
قال ابن قدامة في المغني 1/264 بعد أن ذكر نواقض الوضوء ولم يذكر منها مس الكلب أو لعابه : فهذه جميع نواقض الطهارة ولا تنتقض بغير ذلك في قول عامة العلماء .. انتهى .
ولكن لا شكّ أن لعاب الكلب نجس مستقذر ونجاسته شديدة لا تزول إلا بسبع غسلات إحداهن بالتراب ، وفرْقٌ بين هذا وبين نقض الطهارة ، والله تعالى أعلم .
